Mudeungsan National Park~

01 ｜Visit

 This is the entrance to Mudeung Mountain and the parking lot of Jeungsim Temple!

Because this is the terminal for many buses,

it is not difficult to  get to Mudeung Mountain

from downtown Gwangju~

 The entrance to Mudeung Mountain is lined with many outlet stores

selling hiking clothes.

 There is a supermarket where you can buy water and snacks, as well as somerestaurants and  rental accommodation .

  

This is the way from the Jeungsim Temple parking lot to Mudeung Mountain!

The cherry blossoms have bloomed beautifully!

 On the way up from the Jeungsim Temple parking lot,

there is the Mudeungsan Geological Park Tourist Information Center,

and the Jeungsimsa District Tourist Information Center!  

  

Inside the center,

you can get historical descriptions  

of Mudeung Mountain, its geological value  and information about hiking paths.

You can also take an information booklet!

  

While climbing up,

you can see Jeungsim Temple, which is Gwangju Cultural Property No. 1!

Many of the parts of this temple were destroyed during the Korean War.

The main hall was restored in the 1970s~

 By climbing up hard,

I could arrive at Jungmeorijae Pass,

which is halfway up Mudeung Mountain!

 On my way down,

I captured the scenery of beautiful cherry blossoms.

 I took the Dangsan Tree course~!

This course  is the easiest and simplest among the  many hiking trails on Mudeung Mountain. It is also the most visited by people, regardless of gender or age!

there are many hiking courses on Mudeung Mountain!

There are easy courses and more demanding  trails. Select the hiking course that best matches your

fitness  level!

 Mudeung Mountain has many more rocks than I thought!

Please take this into account and

be sure to prepare proper hiking shoes!

03 ｜How to go there
