There is a traditional play called “Gossaum”

Traditionally, Gossaum is a local festival to wish a bumper year and to prevent bad spirit.

Let me introduce Gossaum theme park, where you can study about Gossaum and indirectly experience, too!

01 ｜Visit

After a long journey, we arrived at Gossaum Theme park!

I was surprised at the size

Just like how outside looks, inside was very clean.

Gossaum Theme park has an Image experience center, Folk game experience center, Gossaum training center etc.

There are lots of activities provided.

There is also a large grass field and garden.

Then let’s get into Gossaum Theme park!

Image Experience Center requires purchasing a ticket

It opens until 18:00 

Keep in mind that tickets are available until 17:30.

1. Gossaum Image Experience Center, 1st floor

As soon as you enter, you can see 4D image experience center.

It is showing a movie called, “Namdo Junsul”

Right now they are repairing it so only 3D is available.

Funny story with realistic images,

We didn’t know how fast time was running for 20 minutes.

After the movie, there is a Gossaum Play’s OX quiz next to Gorider.

Total 10 questions, 10 points each!

If you get 90 or above, you get a free boarding pass for Gorider.

If you look around the exhibition on 2nd floor or study just a little bit about Gossaum, 

you can get them all right! So challenge yourself!

After doing OX quiz, I got on the Gorider.

It was realistically funny.

Although it was moving a bit violently, it was really fun!

You can shop at a souvenir store at the center of 1st floor.

2. Gossaum Image Experience Center 2nd floor.

At 2nd floor, 

The information about Gossaum, Chilseok village, and ‘Go’ are displayed at a look

A huge exhibition that reminds of real Gossaum

And listening center of traditional songs is also prepared

You can try both exhibition and experience at the same time.

Here we are at chromakey camera tube at the entrance of 2nd floor.

Chroma keyer system uses image synthesis technique that cuts certain color of a film

3. Gossaum Theme Park.

If you come out of back door of Image experience center and walk straight,

There is a Gossaum training center.

When we visited, it was closed

so we couldn’t look around inside.

But if you visit during week days, try to come by Training center!

The field in front of the training center is

On the field, there are lots of activities like

There is a water fountain next to the info desk in Image experience center. 

Bathrooms are located on both 1st and 2nd floors. 

There are signs here and there around the theme park.

You can follow the signs to look around!

The outside bathroom on the left is located at the back door of image experience center.

The right outside bathroom is at the road to gingko tree or at the end of the theme park.

Take a bus and get out at Hachilseok bus stop.
